The Studio's Conservation Services

Many factors cause a stained glass window to require conservation and each window's needs are unique. The 19th and 20th century Gothic Revival in America was a time of rebirth for the stained glass industry. The newly formed American studios experimented with the medium, leading to innovations in materials and structure. These innovations present challenges that are unique to each window requiring treatment that is specific, not generalized or assumed. Restoration begins with a Condition Survey.
